8 Denver, NC Denver, NC $27 - $32 an hour $27 - $32 an hour The Manufacturing Process Planner will be responsible for part process & documentation development, creating and updating manufacturing process templates and determining and entering routings per engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Candidates will be required to develop, detail, review and control manufacturing process operation documentation for in-house and outsourced process techniques & methods.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following represents a list of essential duties and responsibilities.
Other duties may be assigned or re-assigned as the Manufacturing Facility expands.
Create detailed part & assembly sequenced process manufacturing templates using ERP database management system.
Estimate manufacturing cost, labor, materials, out-sourced operations, etc.
To interact and assist engineers, programmers, and operators with manufacturing practices.
Evaluate real time manufacturing cost, procedures and recommend changes or modifications for improved quality, costing and efficiency.
Raw material & tooling outsourcing request for quotation.
To assist manufacturing with production scheduling.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical data sheets.
Work as part of the team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimize results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards.
Undertake continuous training and development.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
University or Technical College diploma or equivalent experience in the field of manufacturing process planning, methods and practices, CNC machining, programming & fixture design.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Strong understanding & work experience with various manufacturing application practices, procedures and methods; turning, milling, grinding, metrology and refinishing, painting, plating, etc.
Process planning within a machine job-shop environment, developing part manufacturing order of sequence & operation details.
Process document management control, drawings, and in-process data collection.
The ability to interpret/work with 2D drawings, 3D models and technical data sheets.
Manufacturing operations process development and resource planning.
CNC & manual machine operation.
Hands-on/shop floor machining experience, turning, milling, grinding, etc.
Strong CAD skills, the ability to generation and update shop drawings.
Strong understanding of CNC programming, set-up and practices.
Knowledge of work holding fixture design and applications.
Part estimating/costing, including customer technical support and communication.
Vendor out-sourcing for additional manufacturing requirements, materials and tooling.
Pay:
$27.
00 - $32.
00 per hour.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
