Denver NC Duration:
Full Time Role Purpose Develop Manufacturing Processes, including specification and purchasing of machinery, tooling and fixturing Lead process improvement strategies; cycle time reductions and cost reduction.
Process maintance of current processes Qualification and Skills Formal Qualifications Essential Four-year degree required, preferably in Manufacturing Engineering Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of ProE & Auto Cad 3 years experience in engineering setting (preferably TS 16949 certified company) Desirable Assembly engineering is a plus Specific Functional Competencies, Knowledge and Skills Required Essential Must be self-motivated excellent organizational skills with the ability to effectively handle multiple tasks Excellent written and oral communication skills excellent interpersonal skills Key Responsibilities Comply with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
Create process plans for new projects.
Provide quotations for new projects and tooling.
Provide pre-operational drawings.
Support APQP Documentation Creation and Control (PF, PFMEA, & CP) Provide technical guidance.
Control cost of manufacturing methods.
Specify and recommend tooling, fixturing, methods and equipment.
Test and troubleshoot tools, fixtures, machines, and processes.
Develop and maintain accurate plant layouts.
Work with Product Engineering, suppliers, and customers to develop parts.
Active involvement in process improvement teams.
Coordinate/start up projects.
Work with Training Coordinator to implement training for associates on new machinery as required.
Work with the Gage Engineer to specify gagging techniques and equipment.
Practice and maintain a good relationship with all business units and GPS team leaders.
Schedule delivery of all tools, fixtures, gages, and equipment on time.
Supervise daily activities and projects for students as required.
Responsible for communicating when there is an issue affecting the Environment, Health, Safety or Quality to his / her respective Manager Perform other duties as assigned.
